The younger riders kicked started the show competing in their rider classes under the judge Mrs Amanda Edwards of Queensland. Little Beth Rowley won the rider 5 years and under 8 years, Emily Murray won the rider 8 years and under 10 years,  Daizi Plumb won the girl rider 10 years and under 12 years and Tristan Gebauer-Barbaro won the boy rider, 10 years and under 14 years.

The novice pony hack classes were judged by Ms Judy Ivory of Victoria, with some lovely quality ponies taking to the arena.  Nancy Miller’s delightful Wyoming Park China Doll won the pony not exceeding 12 hands, Corumbene Stud’s Falconhurst First Dance  such a lovely going pony won the over 12 – 12.2 hands,  Kolbeach Holly’s Crystal won the 12.2 – 13 hands owned by  Alyssa Giustozzi,  Dale Plumb’s Calvin Park Tiny Dancer won the 13 – 13.2 hands and  Katrina Kearns was more than happy with Ace High Of Sefton winning the 13.2 – 14 hands.

The Best Novice Pony Hack for this years Adelaide Royal was  Calvin Park Tiny Dancer.
