2016 SHC All States Showdown started of under sunshine and the temperature just right only to deteriorate over the day, a bone chilling wind and heavy threatening clouds that unlike other years resulted in no rain, luckily.
The All States Showdown has been a great feature show over the years for SHC members and has seen many interstate competitors make the trek across to Victoria to be part of it.

Friday kicked off with the Junior and Intermediate Riders as well as the child’s classes Leading Rein and First Ridden.
There were some truly beautiful animals and most worked really well, it would be hard for some of the exhibits that have come from the warmer states like QLD and WA to face up to the cooler conditions of Victoria.
In the child’s show hunter galloway class there were some lovely horses and it would have been a hard choice a winner but VIC entrant and well performed Terra Felix XL was champion and the runner up was the super impressive Bawara Cosmic Chorus from WA.
Other classes of note were the child’s small show hunter ponies, WA took the champion with Gem Park Debonare and SA pony Rivington Nutrisse as reserve.
The winner of the large childs show hunter pony and the Nawarrah Park Cupid Trophy sponsored by the Catalano family in memory of there dearly missed pony was Owendale Rembrandt and Morningside Hotgoss as the reserve.
The child’s shetland pony class was a bit low on numbers this year but still some lovely exhibits Oak Park Paramount was champion and Thorpville Trendy was reserve, both exhibits from VIC.
