Dressage Grand Prix CDI5, Twenty-two dressage riders from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have come to Doha to compete. First event for the dressage was the Grand Prix CDI5 with a cool 40,0000 EUR in prize money up for grabs.

The winner was Princess Nathalie Sayn Wittgenstein Berleburg riding Digby, the horse that she had sadi last year she had retired but here he was, out showing that full time retirement is not for him as he put forward one of his best performances. When Princess Nathalie was asked about why she brought him to CHI AL SHAQAB 2014 she stated “I said I would retire him from the team but not entirely. I wanted to take some stress off him. I wanted him to have fun with no pressure and that’s why we are here.” She credits Digby with her success, “He is really fit and I keep him fit at home. I know him so well and he’s so smart. I think that’s one of his best performances.”

Second place was Lone Bang Larsen of Denmark riding Fitoul and 3rd Place was Patrick Kittel of Sweden riding Toy Story .
