Show galloways and the show hunter galloways stepped out today. Some classes had really good numbers exhibiting but others were very light on and a couple having only four competitors. Classes seem to be getting smaller every year, perhaps it’s just getting to expensive or they are only taking limited entries, I don’t know but it lacked a certain presence out on the main arena today. However the exhibits that stepped forward were of lovely quality and in the show hunters the Riemer family had a good day after winning second in the novice hunter and their hunter height class and then Meteor Showers went on to win the Gents & Ladies hunter galloway and to top it all off ridden to perfection by Clint Bilson he won the Champion Hunter Galloway and change of rider for the champ to go onto win the Champion Childs Hunter Galloway superbly ridden by Kaitlin Ajani, surely that’s some kind of record. Either way you can guarantee there were a few drinks in the Riemer locker after the show!
Kathleen Mullen also had another great day winning the Best Novice Show Hunter Galloway on her standard bred gelding MF Hollywood another nice little win to add to her Best Novice Show Hunter Pony yesterday. No pressure on Kathleen thou with a Hack starting in its novice class tomorrow morning.
