The last day of Canberra Royal saw the show hunters having their time on the arena. The Best Novice Showhunter for this year was Bronwyn Parker’s  Midwave Resistance ridden by Jess Stalling , they rode of against the winner of the 14-14.2hh Congarinni BMW exhibited  by Belinda Williams and Congarinni Pony Stud.

The Best Novice Showhunter Hack was between two horses prepared by Romsey Park,  Greg Mickan rode Beautiful Encounter owned by Jamie Carson  to win the 15-16hh,  then was on board Christine Frost’s  Elmdale Park Presidential  to win the over 16hh.  Beautiful Encounter  went  on to be declared Best Novice Show Hunter Horse.

The Open Showhunter Galloway small winner was the lovely Ridgeview Park French Lace from SA owned by Alyson Emery, large winner was Snell, East and Colvin’s  Headley Park Xpectations. Lady’s Show Hunter Galloway Melise Tuma-Webb M-Jay Fortune, Gentleman’s Show Hunter Lisa Wilczak Dinki Di Party Girl, Child’s Show Hunter Walker & Talbot Family’s Stillbrook Dashing. The champion sash went to Headley Park Xpectations, with Ridgeview Park French Lace taking the reserve.

Open Showhunter Hacks, 15.2–16 winner was Greg Mickan riding Beautiful Encounter, 15 – 15.2 Watkins & Marshall’s  Madam Butterfly, over 16 winner was Sarah & Samantha McMaster’s   Destiny, Lady’s Show Hunter Emma Adams EBL Juliett, Gentleman’s Show Hunter was Romsey Park & Christine Frost’s Elmdale Park Presidential and Child’s Show Hunter Troy & Tayla Wilson’s  Shakira LP.  Champion Show Hunter Hack  went to Greg Mickan riding the Beautiful Encounter owned by Jamie Carson and Sally Watkins rode  Madam Butterfly to win the reserve champion show hunter hack.
