First day of the Gallery Equine Grand National Championships, held at the wonderful S.I.E.C. Horsley Park equestrian centre which looked fantastic, it did not start of that wonderful outside, an abundant rain fall left the horses needing floaties in the lunge ring. The first class of the day was for the little tots 3-8yrs the The WELSH PONY & COB Society Grand National Show Hunter Leading Rein Pony which was won by Wyann Cock Robin with Natalie Albonetti in the saddle, runner up was Wendamar Blush ridden by Emma Richardson. The Smartest on Parade from this event was Carona Park Fairy Footsteps ridden by Mercedes Mathews.

The Riding Pony Stud Book Society Grand National Show Hunter Pony over 12.2hh n/e 14hh was won again by the very successful Melody Park Heavenly Pearl who has had a remarkable season owned by Parker & J R Equestrian. Runner up was Owendale Rembrandt owned by Treneman-Duncan. Smartest on Parade was Gempark Rembrandt owned by Gayna & Shilo Harvey.
