GEELONGGeelong Show was 160 years old this year, coming from humble beginnings the original show grounds site was in East Geelong and later moved to Ormond St in 1891 and then onto the new racecourse in 1954 which is now a permanent home.  The horse section started with draught horses as well as the normal ewes, rams, poultry and an array of butters, flowers, apples, and the old steam engines. Over the years the show has grown, receiving  their royal status  in 2005, as well as these days having a lot more classes, with many breed events, harness, saddle classes and show jumping to add to the show atmosphere.
